Role in the story
A member of the Leadchurch wizards' fraternity. Named in Ch.19 as the third drinking buddy at the Rotted Stump alongside Martin and Phillip on the eve of Martin's trial. Effectively a colleague — supportive, present at the pre-trial cooldown, presumably part of the wider trial-attendees and Camelot expedition crowd.
Personality / energy
Casual, collegial, jokey. Functions as "Phillip's other guy at the table" — the friend who normalizes Martin's nerves with banter. Less mentor than peer.
Physical description (inferred + flagged)
The book does not provide portrait detail. Render as a generic Leadchurch wizard:
- Adult male, age range unspecified — keep him slightly older than Martin, generally peer-aged to Phillip or a hair younger
- Light skin tone (default; not specified)
- Hair color / build / facial features unspecified in source — keep generic-friendly
Outfit / clothing notes
Standard Leadchurch wizard kit (rendered to match Phillip's working-wizard register, not Martin's apprentice register):
- Conical hat (color flexible — render in a different shade than Phillip's navy and Martin's navy-with-stars to keep him distinguishable; muted forest-green or deep brown works)
- Plain wool robe in earth tones
- Wooden staff with a glowing white pixel orb when on duty
- At the Rotted Stump: hat off or hung on the bench-back, robe loosened, pewter tankard in hand
Visual motifs
- Pewter tankard with foam (Ch.19 tavern scene)
- Stump-slab bar + sawdust floor as his frame
- Warm lantern glow on his face vs. the cold daylight outside
- Should read as "the third wizard at the table" — reliably present, never the focal character
Magic / power signature
Same Repository-fluency frame as the other Leadchurch wizards. No specific spells attributed to him in any chapter summary. Image phase: he can have a staff and orb, but never make him the visual subject of an effect.
Chapter appearances
- Ch.19: Rotted Stump cooldown — named, drinking with Martin and Phillip
- (Plausible background presence in Ch.21 banquet, Ch.25 mass teleport, Ch.28 sentencing — sources do not name him in those scenes; treat as crowd silhouette there)

Confidence
Medium for role; low for physical detail. Use him as a recognizable third figure in tavern / banquet compositions; do not feature him solo.
